Description

Metric PVC Pressure Pipe – 3 Metre Lengths

Metric PVC-U pressure pipe supplied in 3 metre straight lengths, suitable for larger installations where fewer joints and longer continuous pipe runs are preferred.

Manufactured from durable unplasticised PVC, this pressure pipe provides a lightweight, corrosion-resistant solution for water systems, irrigation, swimming pools, aquatics, process pipework and a wide range of industrial applications.

The smooth internal bore helps provide efficient flow characteristics with reduced friction losses, while the rigid PVC-U construction makes the pipe easy to handle, cut and install. It is designed for use with compatible metric PVC solvent weld fittings using suitable PVC cleaner and solvent cement.

Metric PVC Pipe Sizing

Metric PVC pressure pipe is measured by its outside diameter (OD). For example, 90mm PVC pressure pipe has an outside diameter of 90mm and is designed to fit directly into compatible 90mm metric PVC solvent weld fittings.

This sizing method differs from imperial PVC pipe, which is generally identified by its nominal bore rather than its actual outside diameter.

Installation

To create a permanent solvent weld joint, ensure that both the pipe and fitting surfaces are clean, dry and properly prepared. Apply a suitable PVC cleaner and solvent cement before inserting the pipe fully into the fitting socket.

Allow the completed joint to cure in accordance with the solvent cement manufacturer's instructions before the system is pressurised.

Temperature & Pressure

PVC pressure pipe ratings are generally stated at 20°C. As operating temperature increases, the permissible working pressure of the system should be reduced accordingly.

PVC-U pressure pipe should not be used where operating temperatures exceed 60°C.

Please select the required pipe diameter from the options above.
