Description
Metric PVC Pressure Pipe – 2 Metre Lengths
High-quality metric PVC pressure pipe supplied in convenient 2 metre lengths. Manufactured from durable unplasticised PVC (PVC-U), this pipe is suitable for a wide range of pressure pipework applications including water supply, irrigation, aquatics, swimming pools, industrial process systems and general fluid handling.
The smooth internal bore provides excellent flow characteristics with low friction losses, while the lightweight construction makes PVC pipe easy to handle, cut and install.
Metric PVC pressure pipe is designed for use with compatible metric PVC solvent weld fittings. Connections are made using suitable PVC cleaner and solvent cement, creating a strong and permanent joint without the need for specialist tools.

Metric PVC Pipe Sizing
Metric PVC pipe is measured using the outside diameter (OD) of the pipe. For example, 50mm PVC pressure pipe has an outside diameter of 50mm and is designed to fit directly into compatible 50mm metric PVC solvent weld fittings.
This differs from imperial PVC pipe, which is generally identified by its nominal bore rather than its actual outside diameter.
Installation
For a permanent solvent weld connection, ensure that the pipe and fitting surfaces are clean, dry and correctly prepared. Apply an appropriate PVC cleaner followed by PVC solvent cement before inserting the pipe fully into the fitting socket.
Always allow the solvent weld joint to cure in accordance with the adhesive manufacturer's instructions before pressurising the system.
Temperature & Pressure
PVC pressure pipe pressure ratings are normally specified at 20°C. As operating temperature increases, the permissible working pressure of the system should be reduced.
PVC-U pressure systems should not be used where operating temperatures exceed 60°C.
Please select the required pipe diameter from the options above.
