Description

Metric PVC Pressure Pipe – 1 Metre Lengths

Metric PVC-U pressure pipe supplied in convenient 1 metre straight lengths, making it a practical option for smaller installations, repairs, extensions and projects where longer pipe lengths are not required.

Manufactured from durable unplasticised PVC, this pressure pipe offers a lightweight, corrosion-resistant solution for water transfer, irrigation, swimming pools, aquatics, treatment systems and a wide range of industrial applications.

The smooth internal bore helps maintain efficient flow while reducing friction losses. Metric PVC pressure pipe is designed for use with compatible metric PVC solvent weld fittings and can be installed using suitable PVC cleaner and solvent cement to create a strong, permanent joint.

Metric PVC Pipe Sizing

Metric PVC pressure pipe is sized by its outside diameter (OD). For example, 63mm PVC pipe has an outside diameter of 63mm and is designed to fit directly into compatible 63mm metric PVC solvent weld fittings.

This is different from imperial PVC pipe, which is generally identified using a nominal bore size rather than the actual outside diameter.

Installation

For a reliable solvent weld connection, make sure both the pipe and fitting surfaces are clean, dry and correctly prepared before assembly. Apply a suitable PVC cleaner followed by PVC solvent cement, then insert the pipe fully into the fitting socket.

Allow the joint to cure fully in accordance with the solvent cement manufacturer's instructions before pressurising the pipework system.

Temperature & Pressure

PVC pressure ratings are generally stated at 20°C. As the operating temperature rises, the allowable working pressure of the system should be reduced accordingly.

PVC-U pressure pipe should not be used where operating temperatures exceed 60°C.

Please select the required pipe diameter from the options above.
