Imperial PVC Equal Tee
The Imperial PVC Equal Tee is used to create a 90° branch from a straight run of imperial solvent weld pipe. With three equal-sized sockets, it allows pipework of the same diameter to be connected quickly and securely, making it suitable for new installations, repairs and system modifications.
Designed for use with PVC solvent cement, the fitting forms a strong, permanent joint capable of handling pressure applications. Its rigid PVC construction provides excellent resistance to corrosion, many chemicals and scaling, making it a popular choice for water treatment, irrigation, swimming pools, aquaculture and industrial pipe systems.
Imperial PVC Pipe Sizes
Imperial solvent weld pipework is specified by its nominal bore (NB). The socket dimensions of the fitting are manufactured to suit the outside diameter of the matching imperial PVC pipe.

Pressure Rating
Imperial PVC solvent weld fittings are rated to 15 bar (215 psi) at 20°C. Threaded PVC fittings are rated to 12 bar (170 psi) at 20°C. As operating temperatures increase, the allowable working pressure decreases. PVC systems should not be used at temperatures above 60°C.
Installation
Clean and prepare the pipe and fitting before applying solvent cement. Push the pipe fully into each socket with a slight twisting action to distribute the adhesive evenly. Leave the joint to cure fully before pressure testing or commissioning the system.
