BSP Thread Size
How to measure BSP Threads.
Themost common problem that we have found our customers run into is the measurement and identification of pipe threads (BSP Thread)
Note that a thread that measures 1/2" is not a 1/2" BSP thread.
Use a tape, rule or vernier gauge to measure across the outside of the male thread.
Using the comparison table below we can see that a thread measuring 1" is actually a 3/4" BSP thread. Similarly, a thread that measures 2" is actually a 11/2" BSP thread.
